R. Ashwin selected Team India's playing XI for the first T20 against England, did not give place to these 4 players

R. Ashwin has uploaded a video on his YouTube channel Ash ki Baat in which he was seen selecting India's playing eleven for the Kolkata T20 International. He said, 'Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma will open for Team India. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma will be at number-3 and 4. If lefty is out, Tilak will come and if righty is out, SKY will come.

He further said, 'The team has good finishes. Hardik Pandya is there, Rinku Singh is there and Nitish Kumar Reddy will also probably play. Akshar Patel has become the vice captain, given his form he can also play at 6 or 7. I have taken the name of Nitish, I think he will definitely play in two-three matches in the entire series. After this, Varun Chakraborty will be at number-9 and then there will be two fast bowlers Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Shami. Shami will make a comeback.

It is worth noting that here Ashwin has also made it clear that there may be a change in the team which will be between Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar. Either of these two can be in the playing eleven. Apart from this, Ashwin has made it clear that the real test for Team India will be in the T20 series against England, because this new team has not faced any big and strong team till now.
