EV revolution in Maharashtra: Blue Energy Motors produces 30 thousand electric trucks, historic agreement with the government!

Davos: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis is on a visit to Davos to participate in the World Economic Forum. Blue Energy Motors Limited, a pioneer in manufacturing of eco-friendly energy-powered trucks under Essar's Green Mobility initiative, signed an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Maharashtra at the World Economic Forum, Davos.

Under this agreement, the company will make a major investment of Rs 3,500 crore in Maharashtra and plan to manufacture 30,000 electric trucks. Its objective is to promote industrial development and make the state a leader in the field of electric vehicle manufacturing.

Employment to more than 4 thousand people

Under this project, Blue Energy Motors will set up a state-of-the-art factory with state-of-the-art R&D (Research and Development) facilities to manufacture electric trucks. This plant will be equipped with separate units for manufacturing battery packs and electric motors. Along with this, charging stations will also be built to charge EV trucks.

This investment is likely to provide direct employment to more than 4,000 people in Maharashtra. This project will not only help the state move towards green energy but also strengthen its economy. It is planned to start operations in the financial year 2025-26, which will be a major step towards the industrial and environmental development of Maharashtra.

Mr. Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO, Blue Energy Motors expressed happiness over this partnership with the Government of Maharashtra and said that this is a big step towards fulfilling their ambitions. He said that in collaboration with Essar's Green Mobility initiative, the company will manufacture electric trucks, which will help in keeping the environment clean by reducing pollution. The aim of this partnership is to take steps towards a clean, green and sustainable future. With this investment, Maharashtra will become a center for manufacturing modern and clean transportation means at the global level, which will create new employment opportunities in the state and strengthen economic development.

Electric trucks with zero carbon emissions will be manufactured in this inter-connected manufacturing plant. These trucks will be equipped with cutting-edge technology, such as AI and ML, which will make them smarter and efficient. Designed to haul heavy loads, these EV trucks will be efficient, reliable and more economical in terms of energy consumption. These trucks will operate more efficiently in less time and will reduce carbon emissions to a great extent, thereby minimizing their impact on the environment.
