Record breaking snowfall in America, more than 2100 flights cancelled, roads jammed, schools closed
New Delhi. Till now, there were reports of massive fires in many areas of America, but now on the other hand, severe cold and heavy snowfall in South America has further increased the problems of the people. Cold and snowfall have completely frozen many states of South America, causing hindrances in transportation and people are facing a lot of difficulties.

Snowfall is wreaking havoc in the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Milwaukee, South Carolina and Florida in South America. Up to 10 inches of snow is present in these states. Due to this, roads have been jammed, flights are being canceled and traffic has come to a standstill at many places. Especially, four people have lost their lives due to cold in Texas, Georgia and Milwaukee.

In view of this serious situation, many major airports have been closed. All flights have been canceled at Houston Airport and Tallahassee International Airport. However, Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport and William P. Hobby Airport are expected to reopen on Wednesday.

Snowstorm-like conditions have also developed in New Orleans, Louisiana, and residents here are experiencing the heaviest snowfall since 1963. In view of this situation, schools have also been closed. Louisiana Governor, Jeff Landry has issued an advisory in view of this challenging weather. He has appealed to the citizens to exercise caution for the next seven days and avoid traveling if not necessary. At the same time, the mayor of Savannah, Georgia also said that although his area is prepared to deal with the storm, the snowfall is presenting a new challenge.
This snowfall and cold is proving to be one of the biggest winter waves ever, which has taken over many parts of America and the residents here are in need of protection and relief.
