Modi cabinet approves continuation of National Health Mission for next five years, this decision was taken on MSP
New Delhi. The Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of the National Health Mission for the next five years. Union Minister Piyush Goyal gave this information on Wednesday. He said that the Cabinet has approved the MSP of raw jute at Rs 5,650 per quintal for the marketing season 2025-26.

Briefing reporters about the decisions taken in the Cabinet meeting, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the Mission has achieved historic targets in the last 10 years. Goyal said that between 2021 and 2022, about 12 lakh health workers joined the National Health Mission (NHM) and India fought the COVID-19 pandemic under this mission.
Raw jute MSP increased by 6% to Rs 5,650 per quintal
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the minimum support price of Rs 5,650 per quintal for raw jute for the marketing season 2025-26, which is six per cent or Rs 315 more than the previous MSP. This information was given by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal after the meeting of the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The minister said the new MSP ensures a profit of 66.8 per cent on all-India weighted average cost of production and will benefit producers. The government has increased the MSP of raw jute from Rs 2,400 per quintal in 2014-15 to Rs 5,650 per quintal for the 2025-26 marketing season, an increase of 2.35 times.
