Under the incentive scheme of the Government of India, funds are also being made available to encourage the issuance of Municipal Bonds. Uttar Pradesh's Urban Development and Energy Minister A.K. Sharma said that thus the approval to issue municipal bonds worth Rs 50 crore in Prayagraj Municipal Corporation, Rs 50 crore in Agra and Rs 50 crore in Varanasi has been received in the cabinet meeting held at Prayagraj Mahakumbh on Wednesday. The projects have been selected by the said Municipal Corporations after obtaining the approval of the Municipal Corporation House.
Under this, the Urban Development Department in Prayagraj will build a hospital for PPDA at a cost of Rs 100 crore. This will be the first super specialty hospital in the district. Besides, a commercial complex including underground parking will be developed in Varanasi. Solar city and water treatment work will be done in Agra.
