Former Indian opener drops a massive statement on Yuzvendra Chahal accused team management of…

Ongoing debate and conversation box India 2025 Champions Trophy, former cricketer-turned-pundit Aakash Chopra commented on the Satya saga, adamant against leg spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Stating that Chahal’s records are “in all senses too good to be dropped,” yet he’s nonetheless “written off from scratch,” he stresses, “Chahal’s career has been shot down by the BCCI and now by the team management.

I have no idea why, but I have observed [thus far] that his numbers are impressive: those two years before, when he was dropped from ODIs, were also statistically good for him,” said Chopra.

Most recently, Chahal has gotten embroiled in a dispute among nanny Dhanashree Verma. The son did not participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy this time around.

Yuzvendra Chahal missed the charges as he had not been included in the Indian ODI team until now for a very long time, although his form is not so bad,” claimed Chopra.

“Yuzvendra Chahal has been completely finished. It’s all finished from his file,” added Chopra. Lack of an explanation, according to Chopra, has left him baffled.

“He last played in January 2023. So it’s been two years for him. His numbers are also very good. He has picked up a lot of wickets and was consistently doing well,” Chopra disclosed.

Chahal has taken 121 wickets in 72 ODIs for India. He has not played for the team since the last part of 2023, when he lost his place in both formats. The wrist spinner has dodged the Vijay Hazare Trophy this year, and Chopra averred that it meant no one was considering him for the 2025 Champions Trophy competition, missing for two straight years.

“Because it’s been two years since they have closed it, there is no place for Yuzi also here because as soon as you suddenly pick him out of the blue, it will be seen as a regressive step,” said Chopra.

Team India has included 4 spinners (Kuldeep Yadav, Washington Sundar,Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja ) in their champions trophy squad.
