Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the government has increased the MSP on raw jute from Rs 2400 per quintal in 2014-15 to Rs 5650 per quintal for the 2025-26 marketing season, which is an increase of 2.35 times. According to Piyush Goyal, this increase in the Minimum Support Price (MSP) of jute will play an important role in increasing the income of farmers and empowering their livelihood.
