Neither rice nor dal is needed, make crispy dosa with just 3 leftover rotis, the taste will be such that you will forget the way to the restaurant.

“Roti Dosa” is a delicious and healthy dish that combines the thin and crunchy texture of dosa with the flavor of roti. This is a great option especially for those who like to eat something light and crispy like dosa, but like plain roti. Here's a simple recipe:

Kambu Flour Dosa/Bread Mix

Material:

  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt (as per taste)
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda (if desired)
  • 1/2 cup water (or as needed)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (for frying)

Method:

  1. Prepare the flour mixture:

    • Add rice flour and wheat flour to a large bowl.
    • Add salt and baking soda (if you are using baking soda).
    • Gradually add water and turn the flour into a soft batter. The dough should be slightly thin and liquid, so that it can be easily spread on the pan.
  2. prepare the griddle:

    • Heat a tawa or non-stick pan well and apply some oil in it and let it heat completely.
  3. prepare dosa:

    • Pour the batter on the pan and spread it in a thin layer, like you make a normal dosa.
    • Let it cook for a few minutes on medium flame, so that the bottom of the dosa turns light golden.
  4. Add oil:

    • Pour some oil on the edges of the dosa and let it cook until it becomes crispy and golden brown.
  5. Flip (Optional):

    • If you want the dosa to be cooked from both sides, gently flip it and cook the other side until it turns golden.
  6. serve:

    • Serve prepared Roti Dosa refreshingly with hot sauce or chutney.

Tips:

  • You can also make it spicy by adding spices to it, like potato masala or paneer.
  • Adding baking soda can make the dosa a little fluffy and crispy, but if you don't want, you can make it without baking soda.

Roti Dosa is ready, now serve it with your favorite chutney or sambar!
