Will Deepika Padukone return after maternity break?

The blockbuster film 'Kalki 2898 AD', released in the year 2024, was a hit at the box office and earned more than Rs 1000 crore. Directed by Nag Ashwin, this film starred Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. Amitabh Bachchan's character was especially appreciated. Now big news has come out regarding the sequel of this film 'Kalki Part 2'.

Shooting of 'Kalki Part 2' will start in June
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the shooting of the second part of 'Kalki 2898 AD' may start in June this year. However, Prabhas is currently busy shooting for his other films like 'Fauji' and Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Spirit'. In such a situation, the official announcement of the makers is still awaited on the possibility of starting the shooting in June.

Focus will be on the roles of Amitabh, Prabhas and Kamal Haasan
The film's producer Ashwiny Dutt recently revealed that Amitabh Bachchan, Prabhas, and Kamal Haasan's characters will get more screen time in the sequel. While in the first part, Kamal Haasan's villain avatar was shown at the end, in Part 2 he will be given a major role. Also, Deepika Padukone's character will give birth to 'Kalki', the 10th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, which will be the main story of this part.

Question on Deepika Padukone's return
Deepika Padukone is currently on maternity leave. Before the birth of his daughter, he had completed the shoot of Ajay Devgan's 'Singham Again'. Now the question is whether she will return for the shooting of 'Kalki Part 2' in June, or will she join some other project first? Updates regarding Deepika's films are also expected soon.
