- 2 pureed tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste

- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 2 teaspoons fennel seeds
- 2 teaspoons coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 4–5 dried red chillies
- 2 teaspoons black peppercorns
- 4–5 cloves
- 2 cardamom pods
- 1-inch cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
Steps to Prepare
- Toast the grated coconut, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, dried red chillies, peppercorns, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon over low heat in a pan.
- Grind them into a fine paste by adding water.
