Pooja Bhatt Lambasts Trolls Judging Saif Ali Khan For Walking Unaided After Brutal Attack

Saif Ali Khan was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, following a brutal attack at his Bandra residence. In a series of videos shared by the paparazzi, the 54-year-old actor displayed immense resilience by walking out of the hospital on his own, despite his visible injuries. Ditching the wheelchair, Saif walked unaided, carrying a cast on his hand and bandages on his neck, all while showcasing an unwavering spirit.

The actor’s discharge comes days after he was hospitalised for stab wounds sustained during the attack. As the media captured his hospital exit, many fans and onlookers were left in awe of his bravery. However, his recovery sparked a wave of online trolling, with some questioning his ability to walk on his own despite the graphic nature of his injuries.

Actress Pooja Bhatt, a close friend of Saif, took to social media to defend the actor and address the cruel trolling he had been subjected to. In an interview with ETimes, Bhatt blasted the social media critics, pointing out the hypocrisy of their remarks. She reminded people that those same trolls had once praised Saif for walking into the hospital under his own power in a “wounded, traumatized condition.”

“These very people forget that they lauded him for walking himself into the hospital,” Bhatt said. “A man who checks himself into the hospital in such a state surely has the grit to walk out on his own. Instead of feeding into conspiracy theories, we should be applauding his strength and determination.”

Following his discharge, Saif Ali Khan, dressed casually in a white shirt, denim pants, and black sunglasses, walked through the hospital gates accompanied by a heavy security detail. He was met with cheers from fans and paparazzi stationed outside, to whom he smiled, gave a thumbs-up, and waved in acknowledgement.

In a heartwarming gesture, Saif and his mother, legendary actress Sharmila Tagore, later met with Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto driver who rushed the actor to the hospital during the attack. Rana, speaking with IANS, shared that Saif and his family expressed their gratitude for his swift actions and support.

Despite the traumatic ordeal, Saif’s determination to recover and the love he received from his supporters reaffirmed his reputation as a fighter.
