Heavy traffic jam found in Gurugram today, no entry in these areas, traffic advisory issued
Delhi Traffic Advisory: Rehearsals for the Republic Day celebrations started in the capital Delhi, due to which there was a traffic jam in Gurugram due to the ban on entry of heavy vehicles from 5 pm on Wednesday to 1.30 pm on Thursday. According to the police advisory issued in Gurugram, Haryana, which falls in Delhi-NCR, heavy vehicles going from Jaipur to Delhi were stopped at the Gurugram border itself. They were diverted through KMP and other routes. The vehicles which were supposed to go to Delhi were made to park in the parking lot.
Delhi Traffic Advisory: Blocks were installed at 27 places
Apart from this, Gurugram traffic police put up blockades at 27 places on other roads including Delhi-Jaipur Highway to stop heavy vehicles. Gurugram Traffic Police had also issued an advisory regarding this on Tuesday. Under this, heavy vehicles were prohibited from entering Delhi border till 1.30 pm on Thursday.
Delhi Traffic Advisory: How was the condition of Delhi?
Due to closure of entry into the Delhi border, heavy vehicles, trucks, highways, dumpers and trolleys were parked on the roadside on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Due to this, traffic jam started from Wednesday night itself. There was heavy traffic jam on the service lanes including the expressway on Thursday morning.
Delhi Traffic Advisory: Security tight regarding 26th January
At the same time, entry of heavy vehicles will be prohibited for the main event to be held in Delhi on 26th January. Under this, heavy vehicles will not be able to enter the Delhi border from 5 pm on January 25 to 1.30 pm on January 26. However, heavy vehicles will be diverted from Hero Honda Chowk, Shankar Chowk, Mehrauli Border, Sohna, Pataudi, Farrukhnagar, Pachgaon KMP. Vehicles carrying essential services, ambulances, milk vans, vegetable carts, fire brigade and vehicles going to the airport will not be stopped.

Avoid these routes
People should avoid using the North-South corridor. Ring Road from Ashram Chowk to Sarai Kale Khan from IP Flyover to Rajghat to Ring Road.
From Madrasa to Lodhi Road, from 'T' Point, from Aurobindo Marg to AIIMS Chowk, from Ring Road to Dhaula Kuan, from Vande Mataram Marg, from Shankar Road to Park Street or Mandir Marg.
On January 23, C-Hexagon is scheduled to remain closed from 9:15 am till the parade crosses Tilak Marg. No traffic is allowed in both directions on Tilak Marg, BSZ Marg and Subhash Marg from 10:30 am on January 23.
