There is tremendous enthusiasm about Maha Kumbh in foreign countries, thousands of devotees from this country are coming to Prayagraj.

Obnews International Desk: A large number of devotees from South Africa are expected to participate in the ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. Consul General of India in Johannesburg Mahesh Kumar informed on Wednesday that more than a hundred visas have been issued since the beginning of Mahakumbh on January 13. Apart from this, many devotees have also used their Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) cards to participate in it.

Consul General of India Mahesh Kumar organized a symposium titled 'Maha Kumbh 2025- Where Spirituality Meets Technical Innovation' in Johannesburg. Many prominent speakers in this program discussed about the historical importance of Mahakumbh and its spiritual benefits.

Special package is getting ready

Kumar said, “Travel agents are preparing special packages, due to which the number of people coming to Mahakumbh is expected to increase further. There are many questions in the minds of people wishing to participate in Mahakumbh, and this seminar has been organized to solve these questions.” South African environmental activist and Save Soil Movement leader Tseke Nakadimeng will also participate in the Mahakumbh. He also said that the next Maha Kumbh will take place in 2169, and to understand what it is really about, you should go there and see it yourself.

At the same time, Swami Vipranand Maharaj of Ramakrishna Center of South Africa said that it is difficult to imagine a huge event like Kumbh Mela in South Africa for a person who has not experienced such an event.

There will be a royal bath these days

The ongoing Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj has started from 13 January 2025 and will continue till Mahashivratri 26 February 2025. Four major royal baths will be organized in this fair. The first royal bath of the Maha Kumbh Mela took place on 13 January 2025, while the second royal bath took place on 14 January 2025 on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.

The third bath of these will take place on 29 January 2025 on the occasion of Mauni Amavasya. The fourth Shahi Snan will take place on 2 February 2025 on Basant Panchami. The fifth Shahi Snan will be held on Magh Purnima on 12 February 2025, and the last Shahi Snan of the Kumbh Mela will be held on Mahashivratri on 26 February 2025.
