Decline in iPhone sales will continue in 2025, decline in sales year on year

Let us tell you that there was a decline in iPhone sales in China. Year-on-year sales have declined by 12 percent in December 2024 as compared to December 2023. The report released by Ming-Chi Kuo said that customers did not like Apple's latest iPhone 16 series much. The reason for this was that the company did not do much in the field of innovation due to which the new series could not attract the customers. Compared to the previous series, users did not find much attractive in the new series.

Also, the report said that if we look at the overall smartphone market situation in the country, it is stable. That means there has been no decline in smartphone sales in the country during December. Despite this, Apple's sales declined in China. Ming Mi Kuo believes that the company's sales may decline further. Apple sales in China will see a further decline in the first quarter of 2025.

The company has suffered a loss in terms of iPhone sales in December 2024 compared to December 2023. Actually, this decline has not happened in India but in China. Ming-chi Kuo's report says that iPhone sales have decreased by 10 to 12 percent in the country. It is also explained here why the Apple iPhone 16 series did not become popular among the customers in China and why the customers avoided buying the phone.

Also, there is no special enthusiasm from Kuo regarding the iPhone 17 series. As it was said in the news that the new iPhone 17 series will be eSIM based at the exclusive level. That means the company can remove the physical SIM card in the series. If this rumor proves to be true then customers in China will not like the upcoming series very much. The reason is that not all telecom carriers in China offer e-SIM support, so switching to the new series may be challenging for some users.
