What is the meaning of Abhishek Sharma L celebration

Abhishek Sharma L celebration meaning: India recorded a dominating victory in the first T20I against England, kicking off the five-match series with a 7-wicket win in Kolkata.

The Eden Gardens saw some of the best plays from the Indian players, as barring Jos Buttler and Jofra Archer, none of the other England stars could make an impact.

The transition of the Indian team under Suryakumar Yadav has been blockbuster. Having won three series in a row under Suryakumar, India have taken a step forward to making it four in a row with a thumping win over Buttler and Brendon McCullum’s England unit.

The bowlers laid the foundation of the victory by restricting England to a below-par total of 132 after Suryakumar elected to bowl first. At one end, Buttler battled hard to score 68 runs off 44 balls; at the other, Indian bowlers kept chipping away with regular wickets as no other England batsman managed more than 20 runs.

The pick of the bowlers for India was Varun Chakravarthy, who continued on his sensational form in T20Is and claimed three wickets. Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya, and Axar Patel all took two wickets each.

Indian batsmen continued on their ultra-aggressive intent with which they have been batting since Suryakumar took charge last year. Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma got India racing to 63/2 by the end of the powerplay as they took down the England speedster.

While Samson got out, Abhishek tore into the English bowling attack. India sped to the target in only 12.5 overs, winning with 7 wickets in hand and 43 balls remaining.

The left-handed opener dominated the chase, smashing 79 runs off 34 balls. Abhishek Sharma clobbered 5 fours and 8 sixes in his charged-up innings.

After reaching his half-century, Abhishek Sharma made an ‘L’ gesture with his right hand.
