Reports have claimed that the team will not use the logo of the host country 'Pakistan' on its jersey. According to the rules, the official people of any ICC event will be the name of the host country. The Champions Trophy 2025 was to be specially held in Pakistan, but after India refused to visit Pakistan, the ICC decided to hold it on a hybrid model.
What did BCCI Secretary say?
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia dismissed the rumors that the board had objected to the team's name on the official jersey. “The BCCI will follow every ICC rule regarding the dress during the Champions Trophy,” he told PTI. “Whatever other teams will do in relation to logo and dress code, we will follow them literally.”
The tournament will start from 19 February.
The Champions Trophy will begin on 19 February. Pakistan will play its first match against New Zealand on 19 February. At the same time, Team India will start their campaign against Bangladesh from 20 February. The match between India and Pakistan will be played in Dubai on 23 February.
