Ranchi: The appointment of Congress leader Ravindra Singh to the post of Chairman of Jharkhand Agricultural Marketing Board has come into controversy. His appointment has been challenged by members and officials of the Marketing Board.

The court has been approached regarding the appointment of Ravindra Singh. Marketing Board members and officers have challenged the appointment saying that the post of Chairman is an elected post and not a nominated post. Along with the chairman, many questions have also been raised against his deputy secretary Sanjay Jha. The court has sought a reply from the state government in this matter within four weeks. Ravindra Singh was appointed to the post of Chairman on 14 June 2023.
