New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has conducted the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) shift 1 exam on January 24. The JEE Main Shift 1 exam was successfully conducted across the country from 9 am to 12 noon. The NTA will be conducting the JEE Main 2024 session 1 exam on January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30. It has released JEE Main admit card 2025 for exams scheduled on January 28, 29 and 30 on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

The JEE Main Shift 1 exam conducted on January 24 was rated as moderate to difficult. According to Anil Kapasi, Co-Founder & Managing Director, Arihant Academy, the JEE Main exam was considered moderate to difficult. Mathematics was notably challenging and lengthy, while Physics and Chemistry were relatively more manageable.

He said, “The mathematics section was perceived as the most difficult and time-consuming. Key topics included Coordinate Geometry, Probability & Statistics, and Vector & 3D Geometry. The Physics section ranged from easy to moderate in difficulty. Important areas covered were Mechanics, Electromagnetic Induction, and Optics. The Chemistry was considered the easiest among the three sections. The paper had a balanced mix of questions from Organic, Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry. The significant topics included Organic Chemistry (Aldehydes, Ketones, and Carboxylic Acids) and Inorganic Chemistry (Periodic Properties, Chemical Bonding)”
