Actor Randeep Hooda will soon be collaborating with his Extraction (2020) director Sam Hargrave for another actioner. The film, titled Matchboxwill be headlined by Hollywood actor John Cena and will also star Teyonah Parris of The Marvels (2023) fame. It will also feature Jessica Biel and Sam Richardson.
Sam is directing the project from a screenplay by David Coggeshall and Jonathan Tropper for Apple Original Films.
The live-action film, based on toy company Mattel’s die-cast matchbox toy vehicle line, follows a group of childhood friends who must work together to stop an impending worldwide disaster and rediscover their friendship along the way.
