According to The StarAu revealed in a recent interview with Hong Kong media that her marriage to Kwok had been arranged before she had even reached 20 days of pregnancy. Tragically, she experienced a miscarriage just one or two days prior to their wedding. Despite the emotional pain, the couple went ahead with the ceremony.
Reflecting on her miscarriages, Au described feeling deeply unhappy, saying the experience was like watching her early hopes “turn to devastation.” However, she found solace in her faith, believing there was a purpose behind everything that happened.
“I believe my path in life is the best God has for me,” she said, emphasizing her trust in divine plans.
Au also shared that she has always lived life spontaneously, relying on her instincts rather than meticulously planning. This approach extended to her personal relationships and played a role in her decision to marry Kwok after a whirlwind romance.
The couple announced their divorce in May last year, ending their marriage that began in 2006 after a seven-year relationship.
According to Dimsum DailyAu chose not to include her name on any of Kwok’s assets, which are reportedly worth HK$90 million (US$11.5 million). She explained that this decision was made to avoid unnecessary complications or trouble.
Kwok, a celebrated TVB actor, is well-known for his roles in “Lin Shing Kuet” and “Black Heart White Soul.” He is one of the few actors to have won the Best Actor award at the TVB Anniversary Awards three times.
Au, who started her career as a singer, later transitioned to acting and gained fame for her role in “Journey to the West II.”
