‘Turning point’ of weather from 5th December! Complete preparation for snowfall in hilly districts

Now the cold has started gaining strength in the valleys of Uttarakhand. The cold rustle of wind on the mountains and the blanket of fog in the morning and evening show that the month of December is going to show its true colors. According to the latest prediction of Meteorological Center Dehradun, the weather in the higher areas of the state may change completely from December 5.

What does the weather department say?

According to weather experts, the hilly areas will remain cloudy from December 5. Light showers may occur at isolated places in districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh. But the real story is about altitude – there is every possibility of snow cover on peaks above 3200 meters.

A day before this, i.e. on December 4, a warning has been issued at many places about severe cold and frost. Frost means the temperature drops below zero at night, causing roads to become slippery and crops to be in danger.
