Sridhar Vembu commented on a conversation on social media platform ‘X’ about US-based firm Palantir’s recruitment approach. In his post, he said that smart American students are no longer going to college and are being supported by far-sighted employers. This is a profound cultural change.

This is truly “youth power,” enabling them to stand on their own without taking on the huge debt required to obtain a degree. This trend will change their view of the world and will lead to a major change in culture and politics.

Vembu’s advice to Indian parents

In his post, Sridhar Vembu urged Indian parents and high school students to take note of the change. He added that a college degree is not necessary to get a job at Zoho. If a manager posts a job that requires a degree, I ask him to remove the degree requirement.
