Batting at No. 6 against Tripura, the left-arm spinner turned the game around with a brilliant attacking knock that included three fours and eight massive sixes. His innings helped Tamil Nadu recover from a disastrous 26/4 to finish on a commanding 204/5 in 20 overs.
Sai Kishore boosts his all-rounder reputation
Known primarily as a specialist bowler, Sai Kishore produced the best T20 score of his career, far surpassing his previous best of 21*. He walked in during the final over of the powerplay after Mohammed Ali’s dismissal and immediately shifted the momentum.
Recently retained by Gujarat Titans for IPL 2026, the 29-year-old justified that decision with this incredible performance. He even ended the innings in style, hitting Tripura pacer Indrajit Debnath for three consecutive sixes in the final over.
Big 119-run stand with Jagadeesan
Sai Kishore built a crucial 119-run partnership for the fifth wicket with captain Narayan Jagadeesan, who also played a superb knock of 83 off 49 balls. After Jagadeesan fell, Sai Kishore dominated the slog overs alongside R. Rajkumar to push Tamil Nadu past the 200-run mark.
Strong year continues for Sai Kishore
Sai Kishore has been in fine form in 2025. During the IPL 2025 season, he took 19 wickets in 15 matches for Gujarat Titans at an impressive average of 20.68. His consistent performances earned him a spot among the players retained by the franchise, alongside Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Jos Buttler, and Mohammed Siraj.
