MP Brijmohan raised the issue of national interest in the House, demanded to completely digitalize the process of non-traceable and postmortem reports.

New Delhi/Raipur. In the winter session of Lok Sabha today, once again Raipur MP and senior BJP leader Brijmohan Aggarwal, while showcasing his sensitive, visionary and people-centric leadership, strongly raised an important national problem related to millions of citizens. During Zero Hour, MP Aggarwal demanded from the Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs that the entire police process of issuing necessary non-traceable reports and postmortem reports in cases of insurance claims, theft cases and unnatural deaths should be made completely auto-digital and transparent, so that the victims’ families do not have to face any kind of delay, corruption or harassment.

In the House, MP Brijmohan said in very sensitive words that when unnatural death occurs in a family, the family is devastated by grief. At such a time, making them run around for documents is not only inhumane but also unjust. Similarly, in incidents of theft, people have to go through a long, tedious and at times corruption-ridden process to obtain a non-traceable certificate, causing insurance claims to get stuck for months. MP Aggarwal clearly said that if these processes are completely digitalized, then human intervention will end and the scope for exploitation will automatically end.

Describing the seriousness of this issue, he said that this is not the problem of just one state, but a systemic failure at the national level. For this reason, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) had to take suo motu cognizance of bribery cases and even issue notices to senior officials of the Karnataka government, the Chief Secretary and the DGP. The MP said that these incidents show that technology-based reforms are no longer an option but a necessity.

Reports should be made available directly on the victims’ mobile phones

MP Brijmohan Aggarwal, while presenting a practical solution to the Home Ministry, proposed that all these services should be linked to CCTNS (Crime & Criminal Tracking Network & Systems). All reports issued by the police should be made available directly to the mobile phones of the victims through auto-delivery. Also, the process should be made time bound, transparent and trackable. He said that this step will make the life of the common citizen very easy and will increase confidence in the police system.
