This is the biggest stage of the domestic T20 tournament, which will be held in Indore from December 12 to December 18.

Currently, Rohit is a member of the Indian team in the three-match ODI series against South Africa. The last match of this series will take place on Saturday, December 6, after which they will be able to participate in the SMAT knockout matches.

According to Mumbai Cricket Association sources, Rohit Sharma has expressed his interest to play for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy knockout matches. Mumbai team is currently at the top of Elite Group A with 16 points after winning four matches in the league stage held in Lucknow. In this situation, the team is almost certain to reach the knockout stage.

Apart from Rohit, there are experienced players like Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dubey in the team, who play an important role in strengthening Mumbai. Rohit’s arrival will give good benefits to both the morale and technical strength of the team.
