Chhattisgarh News: The sixth convocation ceremony of Atal Bihari Vajpayee University was organized today in a dignified atmosphere under the chief hospitality of former President Ram Nath Kovind. The program was presided over by Governor Ramen Deka. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, special guest Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao and Higher Education Minister Tankaram Verma attended as special guests. University Vice Chancellor Acharya Dr. Diwakar Nath Vajpayee was present in the program. In the ceremony, 64 scholars were awarded research degrees, 92 gold medals and 36950 graduate and post graduate degrees were awarded. Former President Shri Ram Nath Kovind, the chief guest at the convocation ceremony of the university, extended his warmest wishes to the graduating students for their bright future and called upon them to contribute actively in nation building. Praising the energy and confidence of the young generation, he said that India is today leading among the fastest growing economies of the world and the present youth are its historical witnesses and partners. He said that graduating from university is not the completion of education, but continuous learning, honing skills and self-development are essential for success in the twenty-first century.

The former President said that in the universities of the country, daughters are many times surpassing the sons in the field of education and the number of daughters is also notable among the gold medal winners of this university. Congratulating the students, especially the medal winners, he said that their achievement is not only the result of their hard work, but behind it also lies the sacrifice of parents, support of family and invaluable guidance of gurus. This is a golden memorable moment for every student, which they will remember throughout their life. He said, “Never think that you are left behind. If you never stop trying, you can always be in first place.” He called upon the students to work hard to realize their dreams, stay connected to Indian culture, values and roots and embrace Indian heritage like yoga and science.
Governor Ramon Deka said that there are many challenges in life, in which sometimes we fall, but the most important thing is that we should stand up again every time. He told the students not to be afraid of falls in life and always have the courage to get up. Describing discipline as a strong foundation for success in life, the Governor said that life is a beautiful journey, and it is the responsibility of every individual to live it purposefully, positively and meaningfully. Drawing attention to the importance of mental health, the Governor said that today stress has become a big challenge. Therefore, it is important to make yoga, meditation and regular physical activity an integral part of life. He also urged the students to choose such work in life which has less stress, transparency and which can bring about positive change in themselves, society and nation.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that success is not determined by degree alone, but by continuous desire to learn. The world is changing rapidly, and the youth who choose the path of technology, innovation and hard work while staying connected to the roots of their culture will create the India of tomorrow. Opportunities in life are not always found outside, sometimes we have to create opportunities ourselves. Discipline, dedication and positive vision are the powers that transform every ordinary moment into an extraordinary achievement. He said that I can say with confidence that this generation will take Chhattisgarh and the entire country to new heights. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said that this function is not just a formal event, but a celebration of the dreams, resolutions and struggles of the students. He praised the University for implementing systems like multidisciplinary studies, skill-based learning, four-year undergraduate programme, Academic Bank of Credit and modern curriculum in line with the National Education Policy 2020, so that students can take advantage of global opportunities.
The Chief Minister said that through digitalization in the university, services like admission process, examination forms, transcripts and degree certificates have been made available online by the university. With this new system, students are getting simple, transparent and quick services. He said that the financial assistance under PM Usha program will significantly contribute to the development of new laboratories, smart classrooms, digital libraries and modern academic infrastructure which will enable the university to ensure quality and innovation in higher education. The Chief Minister said that universities should encourage quality research in areas like agricultural science, environmental protection, social structure, language-literature and technological innovation as per the needs of the state. He said that the convocation provided a celebration of knowledge, discipline and inspiration to the students, parents and teachers and highlighted Atal Bihari Vajpayee University’s commitment to quality and innovation in higher education.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that this state, formed under the guidance of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, has made remarkable progress in various fields including education. He appreciated the efforts being made by the university in quality education. Higher Education Minister Shri Tank Ram Verma said that the convocation ceremony is an honor for the hard work, struggle and dedication of the students. He said that effective utilization of Academic Bank of Credit is being ensured in the University and development projects worth Rs 20 crore have been approved, which will further strengthen the academic infrastructure. The guests also released the university’s quarterly magazine Kanhar. The welcome address in the program was given by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Acharya Dr. Arun Diwakar Nath Vajpayee. MLAs Shri Amar Aggarwal, Dharamjit Singh, Dharamlal Kaushik, Sushant Shukla, Atal Srivastava, Dilip Lahariya, CREDA President Bhupendra Savanni, Mayor Pooja Vidhani, Registrar Dr. Taranish Gautam and a large number of university professors and students were present in the program.
