Ola-Uber’s market has risen! Government of India’s ‘HA’ app will pay 100 percent of the fare to the driver

In many cities in India Cab Ola or Uber apps are used for booking. However, taxi drivers do not get the full fare in this app. Drivers have to pay some of the fare to the app. However, now for the first time in the country, an app is being launched that will be completely owned by the driver. The app is called Bharat Taxi and the government has said in Parliament that it will provide drivers with higher earnings, more rights and complete transparency. After the launch, the app will compete directly with Ola and Uber across the country.

World’s first National Mobility Cooperative App

Bharat Taxi is the world’s first National Mobility Cooperative App operated by Sahkar Taxi Cooperative Ltd, a multi-state cooperative. No government department has stake in this app. The biggest feature of this platform is that the owner of the app will be the driver himself. So drivers can keep their entire earnings, and no commission or hidden charges will apply to them. Apart from this, they will also get a share of the profits and dividends every year.

Currently more than 51,000 drivers across Delhi and Saurashtra/Gujarat are connected to the app, making it the largest driver-owned platform in the world.

Soft launch begins in Delhi and Gujarat

The soft launch of Bharat Taxi app has started in Delhi and Gujarat from 2nd December 2025. The app is currently available on Android and the iOS version is coming soon. On this platform, scooters, bikes, autos, taxis and cars – all vehicles will be serviced on a single app.

Features are being worked out in collaboration with the Delhi Police for safety and every driver will be thoroughly screened.

There is no financial involvement of the government in this whole model, and the app will be fully owned by the drivers and cooperatives.
