The severity of cold is increasing in Haryana. Cold winds have forced people to shiver. The maximum temperature during the day remained much lower than normal, while the nights also remained cold. The average minimum temperature of the state has fallen by 0.2 degrees Celsius and reached 2.9 degrees Celsius below normal.
Lowest temperature in Mahendragarh
The state’s minimum temperature was recorded at 3.7 degrees Celsius at Ahar station in Mahendragarh district. In Hisar it was 4.0 degrees Celsius, which is 5.3 degrees Celsius below normal. The temperature was recorded at 4.2 degrees Celsius in Narnaul and 5.8 degrees Celsius in Karnal.
Further increase in cold from December 8
Dr. Madan Lal Khichad, Head of the Agricultural Meteorological Department of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, said that the cold may increase further from December 8. There is a possibility of drop in night temperature due to north and north-westerly winds.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of the day also continues to fall. The average maximum temperature of the state is 3.6 degrees Celsius below normal. The maximum temperature was recorded at 23.6 degrees Celsius in Palwal Water Service Division of Palwal district. In Sirsa it was 18.2 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Narnaul was 5.6 degrees Celsius below normal, while in Rohtak it dropped by 4.5 degrees Celsius.
