Tejprapat Yadav lodged FIR against former IPS Amitabh Das, accused of tarnishing his image

Patna: Lalu Yadav’s elder son and Janashakti Janata Dal president Tej Pratap has lodged an FIR against former IPS officer Amitabh Das in Patna’s Secretariat police station. Tej Pratap Yadav gave this information on his social media account X. He said that he is distressed by the alleged objectionable and fabricated comments made by Amitabh Das about him through digital platforms.

Tej Pratap Yadav alleged that former IPS Amitabh Das has spread objectionable, fabricated and misleading things through a channel on his digital platform with the intention of tarnishing his image. Tej Pratap Yadav wrote on social media platform He said that making such indecent remarks by a former high ranking officer is condemnable.

Tej Pratap said that Amitabh Das's name has been involved in many controversies in the past and while mentioning the Shabnam incident in his post, he claimed that Das's working style and public statements have often raised controversies. Tej Pratap further said that action is necessary under the law against a person with such “unruly nature”, hence he has lodged an FIR in the Secretariat police station and demanded action.

He said that it is not acceptable to make personal attacks on any person in public forums, especially a former senior administrative officer, without any basis.
