Two youths attacked with knife for protesting against looting, minor killer arrested
A miscreant attacked two youths with a knife when they protested against looting in Prem Nagar area of New Delhi. Seriously injured Vinod and Deepak were admitted to a nearby hospital by the local people, where doctors declared Vinod brought dead. Police have registered a case of robbery and murder and have identified the accused on the basis of CCTV footage and arrested him. The arrested accused is a minor. A knife and the stolen mobile phone were recovered from his possession.
According to Rohini DCP Sandeep Gupta, on Wednesday night the police received information that two people were injured near the railway wall in Prem Nagar area. The injured were taken to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared Vinod brought dead. Based on the statement of the deceased’s brother, the police registered a case of murder and started investigation. Investigation of the incident revealed that the deceased Vinod worked in the Indian Oil Company, while the other injured Deepak worked as a tailor in a factory.
According to the information, both the youth were returning home from work on Wednesday night. The miscreant who was already present near the railway wall attacked Deepak with a knife and looted his mobile. An attempt was also made to take the phone from Vinod, but he protested. After this the miscreant attacked Vinod brutally and fled from the spot.

After the miscreant left, the local people took the injured to the hospital. The police identified the minor accused through CCTV cameras installed nearby and technical investigation of the looted mobile and caught him late in the night. The accused confessed to his crime. On his information, the police recovered the knife used in the crime and the stolen mobile phone.
