Kalamkaval Movie Review: Kalamkaval is a film that rests not on fast-paced action or loud drama, but on slow-moving mystery, the truth of the crime, and depth of characters. This story shows police duty, loneliness, darkness and human fear in a quiet but effective manner.
The film begins with an ordinary night. Where the police vehicle goes out on its daily “Kaval” i.e. night patrolling. But this night proves to be different from others. A murder, some entangled people and a strange silence all together slowly add layers of mystery to the story. The atmosphere of the film is so calm and serious that the viewer feels himself walking on the same black road.

The story revolves around the investigation of a crime. A person dies and then the police team tries to reach the truth which is not visible. No loud screams here, no comedy, just slowly unfolding truths.
