India’s first AI-patrol vehicle launched: Indrajal Ranger ready to tackle drone threats
India Drone Security: A Hyderabad-based tech company has created history by introducing the country’s first AI-patrol combat vehicle, Indrajal Ranger. This state-of-the-art, mobile and fully AI-powered vehicle has the ability to detect, track and neutralize the threat of drones on the move. While conventional anti-drone systems can operate only in stationary conditions, Ranger has been specifically designed for mobile counter-drone operations.
Strong design and great capabilities
The Indrajal Ranger is built on the powerful Toyota Hilux 4×4 platform, making it capable of operating smoothly even in difficult terrain. Its detection and neutralization capability makes it among the most advanced mobile anti-drone systems in the country.
- This vehicle can identify drones up to 10 kilometers away.
- Capable of disabling dangerous drones up to a distance of 4 kilometers.
- The system provides capture and control up to 5 km, soft kill up to 3 km and hard kill capability up to 2 km.
Its strengths come from an integrated cyber takeover unit, GNSS spoofing technology, RF jamming system and spring-loaded autonomous kill switch. It is capable of providing protection not only from small quadcopter drones but also from big threats like swarm attacks.
AI-powered SkyOS becomes its brain
Ranger’s command and control capabilities are powered by AI-powered SkyOS. SkyOS enables real-time decision making by integrating data coming from sensors, cameras and detection units. The system provides fast and accurate response to protect border areas, military convoys and sensitive infrastructure by maintaining continuous surveillance.

Big change in dealing with drone threats
The use of drones has increased rapidly in recent years in arms smuggling, drug supply and cross-border illegal activities, especially by the Pakistan-sponsored ISI network. In view of this increasing threat, India felt the need for an advanced, mobile and effective defense system. Indrajal Ranger has emerged as the answer to this need. According to the company, the vehicle can provide reliable protection on border roads, canals, farms, military bases, critical infrastructure and densely populated urban areas even where static anti-drone systems often fail.
