Apple’s new obsolete device list

Apple has once again updated the list of devices which the company will no longer support. This list of obsolete devices includes many old models of iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. This time the most talked about thing is the first generation iPhone SE, which people fondly know as ‘Chutku iPhone’.

Which Apple devices will no longer be supported

This new list includes iPhone SE (first generation), iPad Pro (12.9 inch – 2017 model), Apple Watch Series 4 Hermes and Beast Pill 2.0.

Importance of Apple’s Obsolete List

It is important to know that Apple classifies every device into two categories: Vintage and Obsolete. Vintage devices are those whose sales stopped 5 to 7 years ago. These products are eligible for service and repair, subject to parts availability. At the same time, obsolete devices are those whose sale has stopped more than 7 years ago. The company does not provide any repair support for these devices. Being included in the obsolete list means that users will not get any support from Apple for servicing these models.
