New Delhi, 5 December. Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is on a two-day official visit to India, on Friday made a big announcement on the purchase of Russian oil and said that the shipment of oil to India will continue without interruption.
President Putin said, ‘We are ready to continue uninterrupted shipments of fuel for the growing Indian economy.’ The announcement came after both the countries signed agreements in various sectors ranging from fertilizer and food safety to shipping and maritime logistics. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while emphasizing on economic cooperation between the two countries, said, ‘India and Russia have agreed on an economic cooperation program to increase trade by 2030.’
Earlier, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov had said earlier this week that Russia hopes to again increase its oil exports to India. He also said that he considers the current decline caused by the sanctions of Western countries to be temporary.
It is noteworthy that after the Ukraine war, India became the largest buyer of Russian marine oil. However, recently America banned Russia’s big oil producers Rosneft and Lukoil. Because of this, India has reduced the import of crude oil. After this, Europe has also announced a ban on the purchase of petroleum products made from Russian crude oil.
Both countries should take bilateral trade to 100 billion dollars by 2030. will go
India-Russia bilateral trade in 2023-24 was $65.70 billion, which included Indian exports of $4.26 billion and imports of $61.44 billion. The aim of both the countries is to take bilateral trade to 100 billion dollars by 2030.

The Russian President said, ‘We are organizing film festivals in each other’s countries. Today, a Russian TV channel will start broadcasting in India. This will help India to know more about Russia. We also talked about some global issues. We are emphasizing on multi-polar world order. He also said, ‘As founding members of BRICS, India and Russia have done a lot.
