Tim David strikes again: What he did in Abu Dhabi T10 will surprise you

The UAE Bulls’ explosive middle-order duo, Tim David and Keiron Pollard, celebrated their team’s remarkable season after the Bulls defeated the Aspin Stallions by 80 runs in the final of the 2025 Abu Dhabi T10 at the Zayed Stadium. Australian power hitter Tim David smashed 38 sixes, a new record for most sixes in a single season, and was named “Player of the Tournament” following his match-winning performance.

David starred in the final, scoring an unbeaten 98 off just 30 balls, including 12 towering sixes. “It was my moment today. In such situations, you have to make it count for the team. Once the momentum built, it was very satisfying. Our goal was to score as many runs as possible,” David said. “The T10 format is brilliant but extremely challenging. Seeing so many top players perform pushes you to deliver at your best. I enjoy playing it, especially knowing the world’s best come here to showcase their skills.”

Pollard also praised the contributions of 23-year-old UAE left-arm pacer Muhammad Rohid. “Rohid consistently delivered crucial wickets at the right moments. He faced challenges and conceded some runs, but he rose to the occasion when it mattered the most,” Pollard said.

The Bulls overcame a rocky start, winning just two of their first six matches, before finishing the tournament with a four-game winning streak, including the last group-stage match and all three playoff encounters.

“At one point, we were nearly eliminated from the tournament. But the way the team rallied was outstanding. Over the past few days, we played intense, high-quality cricket, and now we proudly stand as champions of this year’s Abu Dhabi T10,” said KKR legend and UAE Bulls captain Keiron Pollard.

David highlighted the unique challenges of T10 cricket. “The short format leaves little room for error, making every ball critical. It’s fast-paced and demanding, but that’s what makes it exciting,” he said.
