Shipra and Indresh took seven rounds of each other, B Praak sang songs
Vrindavan’s famous storyteller Indresh Upadhyay today tied the knot with Shipra Sharma at the prestigious Taj Amer Hotel in Jaipur. This marriage of both was completed in a very grand and special style. Members of both the families and many special guests were present in the ceremony.
Indresh filled vermilion on Shipra’s demand
During the marriage, Vedic mantras were chanted and Indresh Upadhyay applied vermillion on Shipra’s forehead. On this occasion, all the guests showered flowers on the bride and groom and blessed them. The wedding ceremony lasted for three days and it was made special by the presence of many big personalities from the religious, social and music world. The main rituals, performed as per Vedic rituals, lasted for about three hours.
At the wedding, 101 pundits chanted mantras and Indresh Upadhyay and Shipra Sharma took seven rounds with Agni as a witness. Shipra from Haryana will now go to Vrindavan and join Indresh Upadhyay’s family as her daughter-in-law. To welcome him, grand preparations of flowers and decorations have been made in the house located on Ramanreti Marg in Vrindavan. Sadhus and saints from Kashi, Nashik, Ujjain, Ayodhya, Kedarnath and Badrinath also participated in the ceremony.
A banquet was also organized at 6 pm on the third day of the marriage. Bageshwar Dham head Dhirendra Shastri, singer B Praak and well-known storytellers participated in the ceremony. Besides, poet Kumar Vishwas, Acharya Pundarik Goswami and storyteller Chitralekha also witnessed the marriage.

The haldi and mehendi ceremonies of Indresh Upadhyay and Shipra Sharma were held on Thursday morning. During this, Indresh applied mehendi to Shipra. The musical evening organized in the evening was the major attraction of the wedding ceremony. The function started with a dance performance by Indresh’s parents, famous Ramkatha narrator Krishna Chandra Thakur and his wife. On this occasion, popular Bollywood singer and Indresh’s friend B Praak presented songs, which added to the celebrations.
