Custody of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol extended for 7 days, hearing held at NIA headquarters

New Delhi, 5 December. The NIA custody of Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been extended by seven days. The special NIA court of Patiala House Court gave this decision on Friday. In fact, due to it being a high-profile and extremely sensitive case from security point of view, the NIA judge himself reached the NIA headquarters and held the hearing there in a closed room.

It is noteworthy that gangster Anmol Bishnoi was recently deported from America on charges of illegal stay. NIA had arrested Anmol Bishnoi as soon as he was extradited from America and brought to India on November 19. He is being interrogated in many serious cases.

Anmol, who was absconding since 2022, was included in the most wanted list of NIA. A reward of Rs 10 lakh was declared on him. He is the 19th accused linked to Lawrence’s terror syndicate. Anmol was arrested in November 2024 on charges of illegal entry in Sacramento, California, where the FBI identified him through DNA and voice samples. After that there was a long deportation process.

Earlier in March 2023, the NIA had filed a 1200-page charge sheet against Anmol in the terror-gangster conspiracy case led by Lawrence Bishnoi. The investigation found that between 2020 and 2023, Anmol carried out several criminal activities in India at the behest of Goldie Brar and Lawrence. He used to give instructions to the gang from America and provided shelter, weapons and logistics supplies to the shooters.

Anmol, a resident of Fazilka, Punjab, had fled to America on a fake passport in April 2022 via Nepal, Dubai and Kenya. Anmol’s name is associated with many high profile cases. He was the main conspirator in the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai in October 2024.
