Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann conducted road show on the fourth day of Japan tour, Japanese companies participated
Punjab: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s road show organized in Osaka on Friday, the fourth day of his Japan tour, got huge encouragement. Major Japanese companies participated in the road show and showed keen interest in investing in the state. During this, while addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister said that the partnership of these big industrial companies shows strong support for strengthening India-Japan economic relations.
He said it also reflects the growing interest of global investors in Punjab’s progressive industrial policies, integrated single-window system and ready investment opportunities. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the aim of the state government is to create new opportunities for our youth and create a stable and reliable environment for investors.
Many Japanese companies expressed confidence in Punjab
Recalling Punjab’s relations with Japanese industry, the Chief Minister said that these relations are already very strong and are continuously growing. He said that many famous Japanese companies have expressed confidence in investing in Punjab. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that due to the investment-friendly efforts of the state government, Punjab has emerged as the most preferred destination for investment across the world. He pointed to Punjab’s strategic location, seamless connectivity to major ports, strong industrial clusters, uninterrupted power supply, skilled workforce and progressive policy environment.
What improvements happened in Punjab?
The Chief Minister also highlighted the state’s governance and regulatory reforms, including the Fasttrack Punjab single-window system, which provides over 173 G2B services, auto-deemed approvals, PAN-based business identifier and amendments to the Punjab Right-to-Business Act, which enables time-bound in-principle approvals.
He also highlighted the industrial infrastructure of Punjab and informed that grounded investments worth more than Rs 1.4 lakh crore have already been secured through Invest Punjab. During this, Bhagwant Singh Mann said that his resolution is simple and clear to make Punjab the preferred destination for global industry by providing stability in policy, speed in decision making and a governance system that respects the time and trust of investors.
24 sectoral committees were formed
The Chief Minister said that Punjab’s vision is based on partnerships and working together with industries, understanding their needs and ensuring that the government acts as a catalyst of development. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that Punjab has strengthened its infrastructure, expanded its industrial capacity and opened new avenues for investment. He said that partnership between government and industry is the key to success and the state government firmly believes that industrial development is possible only when we work as equal partners.
The Chief Minister said that this principle is the guide for the new industrial policy of the state introduced in 2022, which was prepared after intensive discussions with industry leaders and partners to meet their needs and expectations. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that now the state government has constituted 24 sectoral committees under the chairmanship of industry heads so that sector-specific policies can be made.

He said such initiatives help open new avenues for Punjab in Northern India by sharing our success stories and long-term vision as we invite potential investors and partners to be part of Punjab’s growth story by 2035. He also held a series of high-level meetings in Osaka today, including discussions with Air Water Inc. on new opportunities in industrial gases and engineering equipment.
The Chief Minister also held official talks with Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) to explore possibilities of trade, technology and SME cooperation. He held meetings with Tokushima Auction Market and Global Venture Company Limited on agri-market modernization and supply-chain partnerships.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said that it was a pleasure to note that the Osaka Business Roadshow and Reception witnessed the presence of senior Japanese dignitaries, including the Director General of JETRO, Deputy Director General, Department of Commerce, Industry and Labour, Osaka Prefectural Government and Director General, Department of International Affairs, METI Kansai and others.
The Chief Minister also invited investors to participate in the Progressive Punjab Investor Summit 2026 to be held at Indian School of Business, Mohali from 13 to 15 March 2026 so that investment can be encouraged. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that this conference will showcase the progress of Punjab, provide a strong platform to leading industrial players and present new opportunities for partnership and collaboration. He expressed hope that Japanese investors will participate in this conference in large numbers and will give further impetus to the industrial development of the state.
