CM Mann did business road show in Osaka, major Japanese companies participated, got huge encouragement

Chandigarh: The road show organized by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in Osaka on Friday, the fourth day of his Japan tour, was very successful. Major Japanese companies participated here in large numbers and showed strong interest in investing in Punjab. The Chief Minister said that this interest of the Japanese industry is a sign of further strengthening the India-Japan economic partnership. He said that Punjab’s progressive industrial policies, integrated single-window system and investment-ready environment are attracting investors from all over the world towards the state.

Mann said that the main goal of the government is to create new opportunities for the youth and provide a reliable environment to investors. He reminded that the industrial relations between Punjab and Japan are already strong and are continuously growing. Many big Japanese companies have expressed confidence in investing in Punjab. He said that due to the investment-friendly steps of the government, Punjab has become one of the most preferred investment destinations in the country. Better connectivity, strong industrial clusters, adequate power supply and skilled human resources are the major strengths of Punjab.

Investment of more than Rs 1.4 lakh crore

Referring to the governance reforms, the Chief Minister said that through the Fasttrack Punjab single-window system, more than 173 services are being provided at one place. Auto-deemed approvals, PAN-based business identification and changes in right-to-do-business laws have simplified the processes for industries. He said that investments worth more than Rs 1.4 lakh crore have been brought on ground through Invest Punjab.

Government working on partnership model

Mann said that the government is working on a partnership model, where policies are made in collaboration with industries. On the basis of this thinking, the new industrial policy of 2022 was prepared. Now separate committees have been formed for 24 sectors, which are working on sector-specific policies.

In Osaka, the Chief Minister held several important meetings, which included discussions on possibilities of cooperation with Air Water Inc., Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other companies. He also invited Japanese investors to the Progressive Punjab Investor Summit to be held in Mohali on 13-15 March 2026 and expressed hope that a large number of investors will participate in it.
