Britain takes strict action on anti-India conspiracy; Funder Sikh businessman banned, properties also frozen
Britain Sikh Businessman Assets Freeze: Britain has taken the biggest action so far against the Khalistani network involved in anti-India activities. The British government on Thursday used its domestic counter-terrorism regime for the first time to sanction British Sikh businessman Gurpreet Singh Rehal and his associated organization Babbar Akali Lehar.
According to officials, Rehal is suspected to be helping Babbar Khalsa, a pro-Khalistan terrorist organization operating in India, in funding, logistics support and recruitment.
Assets frozen, business activities stopped
Rehal, who is associated with the Punjab Warriors Sports Investment Firm, has had all his UK assets frozen. Also, the UK government has disqualified him from becoming a director of any company. The Treasury Department has said that Rehal’s activities are directly linked to terrorist organizations operating in India.
Along with this, the assets of Babbar Akali Lehar have also been frozen as this organization has been found active in propaganda, recruitment and material support for Babbar Khalsa.
Britain showed strictness on Khalistani network
Britain’s Economic Secretary Lucy Rigby said that this historic action is a clear signal that Britain will not allow its financial system to be misused for terrorism. He said that we will use every available weapon to stop the funding of terrorism, no matter where it occurs and who is responsible.

The nexus between Babbar Khalsa and Babbar Akali Lehar has been exposed after the sanctions imposed by the UK government. The investigation also revealed that Babbar Akali Lehar was directly involved in recruitment, propaganda and terrorist activities for Babbar Khalsa.
Under the new rules, all the properties related to Rehal and Babbar Akali Lehar have been seized in Britain. No British citizen or institution will now be able to do any kind of financial transaction with them. The same restriction will also apply to the companies or organizations under their control.

Along with this, the British Government has also imposed additional director disqualification rules on Rehal, due to which he can no longer hold the post of director of any company nor will he be able to play any role in the formation or operation of any new company. These restrictions will have a direct impact on all organizations and institutions related to Rehal.
