However, IndiGo flights were delayed from 9 am on 2 December to 4-5 am the next day (3 December) and the flight itself was canceled on the morning of 3 December. Thus, the new bride and groom stayed back in Bhubaneswar with their parents as they could not find any way to reach Hubli. On the other hand, the bride’s parents and relatives were left waiting for them in Hubli. But, the hall had been booked for the reception and all the preparations were complete.
In such a situation, the bride’s parents sat on the same chair as the bride and groom in Hubli and completed the ceremony. Meanwhile, in Bhubaneswar, the bride and groom got ready and participated in the reception online (via video conference). All the relatives present at the program blessed the bride and groom after seeing them on the LED screen.
