There was a fierce fight between the groom’s side and the bride’s side over Rasgulla and chairs were thrown. The entire incident has been captured in the hotel’s CCTV, the video of which is going viral on social media. After this incident the bride’s side has refused to marry.

There was a wedding ceremony on 29 November 2025 in a hotel in Bodh Gaya. People from the bride’s side were already staying in the hotel, while the groom had arrived with the wedding procession from Wabhra village. The wedding rituals were about to begin when suddenly a dispute broke out at the food counter. People from the bride’s side objected to the lesser quantity of sweets, especially Rasgulla. Within no time a minor altercation turned into a big argument. The dispute escalated so much that people started fighting and then started attacking each other with chairs, utensils and whatever else came to hand. There was an outcry on the spot and the atmosphere of the wedding was completely spoiled. The entire incident was recorded in the CCTV camera installed in the hotel. The groom’s cousin Sushil said that the entire wedding arrangements were made by the groom’s side. He said that we had made all the arrangements in the hotel. There was some argument over food and then the fight started. Police also came to the spot and left after explaining to both the parties. But now the girl’s family is refusing to marry. We have been trying for four days to somehow get the marriage done, because we had come with the wedding procession to get married.

The groom’s mother said that during the fight, an agreement was almost reached between the two parties, but after this the people from the bride’s side suddenly took away the jewelery and went away with the bride. He said that we had also kept the jewelery to be given to the bride, but the girl’s family took it away. The hotel booking was also done by us. We are still ready for marriage, but the girl’s parents are adamant. At present there is an atmosphere of tension in both the families.
