Threat to bomb Rajasthan High Court, premises evacuated
Jaipur. Rajasthan High Court (Jaipur) immediately evacuated the entire premises after receiving an e-mail containing a bomb threat around 10:15 am on Friday morning. After this mail was received on the official ID of the Registrar, security arrangements were tightened in the High Court building and the surrounding area and all scheduled hearings were postponed.
As soon as the information was received, police, bomb disposal squad and dog squad reached the spot and a thorough search of the entire premises was conducted, but no suspicious object has been recovered so far. Every person and vehicle coming and going around the High Court is being strictly checked.
The administration has appealed to the employees and the general public to maintain cooperation and not pay attention to rumours. According to advocate Sher Singh Mahala, as soon as the threatening e-mail was received, the security agencies were alerted and as a precaution, all the employees were evacuated safely. The police cyber team is also thoroughly investigating the source of the e-mail, its IP address and its background.
