Patna. Amid the controversy over Congress MP Renuka Chaudhary bringing a dog to Parliament, a video of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Pramod Kumar in Bihar is going viral. In this video he is seen making a controversial comment about women. BJP MLA from Motihari Pramod Kumar said that many women sleep with their dogs for self-satisfaction. After this, he clarified his statement and said that his intention was not to insult women, but he was presenting the influence of western culture as an example of connecting with the foreign country.

Recently, a video of BJP MLA Pramod Kumar’s conversation with a YouTuber outside the House during the Bihar Assembly session went viral. In this video, Pramod Kumar is reacting to Congress MP Renuka Chaudhary bringing a dog to Parliament. He said, “Many people have a habit that they sleep with the dog, look at the mobile, many women live with the dog, that is what focuses their attention.”

RJD spokesperson’s response

Bihar’s main opposition party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Priyanka Bharti shared this statement of Pramod Kumar on social media and targeted the BJP. He alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi gets satisfaction when such derogatory comments are made towards women by BJP leaders.

BJP MLA’s clarification

BJP MLA Pramod Kumar, who came into limelight after the viral video, clarified his statement while talking to the media in the assembly complex in Patna on Saturday. He said that his words were presented in the wrong context. Pramod stressed that he had spoken in the context of Western culture and that Western culture should not dominate Indian civilization.

He clarified that he did not intend to insult any woman. His view was that Parliament is a temple of democracy, and it is indecent for someone to take a dog there.
