Nitish government’s vigorous bulldozer action continues, report to be submitted on December 8

Bihar News: After the formation of the new government in Bihar, a big campaign against encroachment has intensified. In this sequence, on Saturday, 6th December also, bulldozer action was seen in many areas in Patna. Patna Municipal Corporation conducted anti-encroachment drives in different areas of the city, of which the biggest campaign was on Bailey Road.

Rapid bulldozer action continues

For the last several days, the problem of traffic jam had increased due to illegal shops and carts. As soon as the corporation team arrived with the bulldozer on Saturday, many shopkeepers were seen running away with their carts. Corporation employees caught many such carts and fined them and warned that if caught again, there would be a heavy fine and action of confiscation of the vehicle.

Traffic police also participated in this action which started from pillar number 4 on Bailey Road. Challans were issued by taking photographs of the number plates of random vehicles parked on the roadside. The corporation team also removed shops on Ashiana-Digha Road beyond Bailey Road. Here a fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed on a tea seller.

There was panic as soon as the bulldozer was seen near Ramnagari turn. Many people gathered their belongings and ran away, but those whose carts could not be removed were picked up by the machine. Temporary vegetable shops were also demolished. A vegetable seller woman expressed her displeasure at the government and said that now the support of her livelihood has been taken away.

Report will have to be submitted on December 8

The officials will have to submit a detailed report to Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar on December 8. A case will be registered directly against the encroachers from Sunday. Strict fines will also be imposed on those keeping illegal construction material on the road, wrong parking, garage owners and those throwing garbage. The administration claims that the objective of the campaign is to ensure smooth traffic system in the city. It is hoped that due to continuous action, the roads of Patna will soon get relief from jam.
