How much will Virat Kohli earn by playing one match in Vijay Hazare Trophy?

Kohli was last seen in this tournament in the 2009–10 season. His decision to enter domestic cricket after a long gap will not only strengthen the Delhi team but will also inspire the young players. With his return, there is also a strong discussion about how much fee he will be paid to play in the domestic tournament. So let us answer this question arising in your mind.

According to the current domestic pay structure of BCCI, players’ fees are based on their List A experience. If a player has played 20 matches or less then that player is given Rs 40,000 per match, players with 21 to 40 List A matches get Rs 50,000 per match and players who have played more than 41 List A matches get Rs 60,000 per match.

Virat Kohli has played more than 300 List A matches, so he comes in the highest category. This means that he will receive Rs 60,000 for every Vijay Hazare Trophy match while representing Delhi. Although the Delhi team will play seven league matches, there is little hope that Kohli will play in all the matches. According to reports, he can participate in three matches.

Delhi has been placed in Group D, which includes strong teams like Haryana, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Odisha, Railways, Services and Andhra Pradesh. The league stage will run till January 11, after which the knockout rounds will begin the next day.
