Apollo Tires will pay around Rs 4.77 crore to BCCI for each match Gujarati

Apollo Tires has become the new jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team. Till a few weeks ago, the Indian team used to play wearing jerseys with ‘Dream 11’ written on them, but after the Online Gaming Bill, they had to end this deal midway. BCCIA has officially confirmed the completion of this deal. It was said that this deal has been finalized for Rs 579 crore, which will last for the next three years. During this period, the Indian team has to play 121 bilateral matches and 21 matches in multinational tournaments.

Operating from Gurugram, Haryana, Apollo Tires is active in more than 100 countries of the world. It faced competition from Canva and JK Cements Company, which had bid Rs 544 crore and Rs 477 crore respectively.

BCCI will get crores of rupees for each match
A deal worth Rs 579 crore has been signed between Apollo Tires and BCCI. Under this, Apollo Tires will pay approximately Rs 4.77 crore to BCCI for each match. This amount may vary for bilateral matches and ICC tournament matches. The board had fixed the base price at Rs 3.5 crore for bilateral matches and Rs 1.5 crore for World Cup matches.

India had sent a message to the BCCI selectors to release the team early so that the jersey could be ready on time. India A team is currently playing its first unofficial Test against Australia in Lucknow. The second test is to start from 23rd September.

Uttar Pradesh based ‘Schenck Air’ and Dubai based company ‘Omniat’ had also shown interest in getting sponsorship. However, he did not place any bid. Let us tell you that BCCIA has earned more than Rs 200 crore from the previous sponsorship deal. Dream11 had paid Rs 358 crore for a three-year deal, while Apollo Tires had to pay Rs 579 crore for the same year’s deal.
