When the world is moving towards disintegration, India is becoming a bridge builder.
He said that a major reform has also taken place in the direct tax system. Zero tax on income up to Rs 12 lakh was a step which was unthinkable even a decade ago. This journey of today’s India is not only a journey of development but also of change in thinking. No country can move forward without self-confidence. Unfortunately, long slavery had shaken India’s self-confidence. The main reason for this was the mentality of slavery. Today’s India is working to get freedom from the mentality of slavery.
He said that earlier if one had to take a loan of even Rs 1000 from the bank, the bank used to ask for guarantee because there was a lot of distrust. We broke this vicious cycle of distrust with the Mudra scheme. Under this, guarantee-free loans worth Rs 37 lakh crore have been given so far. He said that today Rs 78 thousand crores of our citizens are lying unclaimed in the banks of the country. Similarly, about Rs 14 thousand crores are lying with the insurance companies. Three thousand crore rupees are lying with mutual fund companies. This is all unclaimed money. This money belongs to poor and middle class families. Our government is searching the people and returning their money.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that just 10-11 days ago I inaugurated Skyroot’s Anant campus in Hyderabad. Skyroot is a private space company of India. This company is working on the capacity to make one rocket every month. This company is making flight-ready Vikram-1. The government has given the platform and the youth of India are building a new future on it. This is the real transformation.
He said that earlier India’s space sector was under government control. But, we reformed the space sector. It was opened to the private sector and the country is seeing its results today. When the world talks about recession, India keeps writing the story of growth. When the world is facing a crisis of confidence, India is emerging as a pillar of confidence. When the world is moving towards fragmentation, India is working as a bridge.
The Prime Minister said that India’s second quarter GDP figures show a growth of more than eight percent, which reflects a new momentum in our progress. These are not just statistics. These are strong macroeconomic signals. These indicate that India is emerging as a major growth driver of the global economy today.

The improvements we are making and performing today are paving the way for our transformation tomorrow. Today something or the other is improving in every sector of the country.
