Hindu Sena put up Ayodhya Marg posters on Babar Road, asked – Why glorify the foreign invader on Indian soil?
New Delhi, 6 December. On the anniversary of the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya, posters of Ayodhya Marg were put up on the boards of Babar Marg in Bengali Market area of Delhi. Activists of Hindu organization put up posters demanding change of name of the place. He says that naming any place after a foreign invader like Babar cannot be accepted in Indian society.
The Hindu organization says that letters in this regard have been given to many Mahanagar Palika Parishads demanding that the name of this road be changed. After all, how can we name any place in India after Babar, but till now no satisfactory answer has been received from the Council in this regard.
Hindu Sena President Vishnu Gupta said that Babar was not a saint or Mahatma. He was a foreign invader, who destroyed many temples in India. Now Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya after the order of the Supreme Court. In such a situation how can we accept any kind of symbols in relation to Babar.
He said that my simple question is that when Ram temple has been constructed in Ayodhya after the order of the Supreme Court, then what is the work of Babar in such a situation? How can we name any site, building or any place in our country after Babar? Will this kind of situation be accepted in our culture? The answer is clear, it will not be done.
The Hindu Sena president said that even after India’s independence, whenever we pass through Babar Road, it reminds us of India’s slavery. In a free country, it is beyond our limits to accept symbols related to slavery in India. We will never let this happen. He raised the question that why would we praise any foreign invader on Indian soil?
