Monsoon Update – Heavy rain and storm expected in these states within the next 12 hours

New Delhi: The weather is rapidly changing, as is typical in December. Snowfall in North India has blanketed even the mountains in a blanket of white. In the plains of the northern states, mild winters and cold waves have brought life to a grinding halt. Dense fog has also virtually obliterated visibility.

The southern states are still reeling from the rain, experiencing continuous downpours. While the weather is pleasant, waterlogging disrupts traffic in some areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning for various parts of the country. According to the IMD, heavy rain alerts have been issued for Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall on December 8th.

Rain is expected in the coastal areas of Kerala, South Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. The next 12 hours will be difficult. Thunderstorms with high waves are also expected in the Andaman and Arabian Seas. Fishermen have been advised to stay away from the sea due to the possibility of lightning and storms.

Uttar Pradesh Weather

According to the IMD, the weather in Uttar Pradesh is expected to change again on December 8th. On Friday, the night temperature in Kanpur city dropped to 4.2 degrees Celsius, 6 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature in Etawah and Muzaffarnagar dropped to 5.4 degrees Celsius. According to the IMD, the wind direction in the state is about to change again. These winds may increase the cold.

Uttarakhand Weather

The IMD has issued a rain warning for Uttarakhand on December 8th. Not only this, an alert has been issued for snowfall along with rain in some areas. The area will experience continuous snowfall for the next few days, which could cause temperatures to drop below freezing.
